DISCIPLESHIP

What is Discipleship?

A disciple is someone who follows the teachings, life, and aim of another until the person becomes like the master. As Christians, discipleship is important because we want people to become fully committed followers of Christ. Discipleship helps believers to grow in their faith, to grow in maturity and wisdom, and build their faith on a strong foundation, so that they can then disciple and lead others towards Christ.

At MCCC, we encourage you to walk through the Bible and a discipleship resource, like Designed for Discipleship, with one another.  Find someone who knows more that you do about the Bible and dive in together.  Challenge each other. Learn from each other. Hold each other accountable.

'And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”'

Matthew 28: 18-20
