There Is Light!

“Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”” (Matthew 2:1–2, ESV)
The Requirement of Light
“The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone.” (Isaiah 9:2, ESV)
“The way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know over what they stumble.” (Proverbs 4:19, ESV)
“Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.” (John 11:9, ESV)
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105, ESV)
Symptoms of Light Disorder…
Mood and emotional symptoms
-Persistent sad, anxious, or "empty" mood
-Irritability, frustration, or restlessness
-Feelings of hopelessness, pessimism, or worthlessness
-Loss of interest or pleasure in hobbies and activities
-Difficulty getting along with others
Energy and motivation symptoms
-Low energy, fatigue, or feeling slowed down
-Lack of motivation to do things
-A heavy, leaden feeling in the arms and legs
Sleep and eating symptoms
-Oversleeping or difficulty getting up in the morning, Increased hunger or cravings for carbohydrates, and Weight gain.
Cognitive symptoms
-Trouble concentrating or making decisions and Negative or self-critical thinking.
Other symptoms
-Social withdrawal
Spiritual Light Disorder
-Lack of direction
-Anger toward God
-Persistent Failure
-Loss of Purpose
The Insufficient light
“he says: “It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to bring back the preserved of Israel; I will make you as a light for the nations, that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”” (Isaiah 49:6, ESV)
““I am the Lord; I have called you in righteousness; I will take you by the hand and keep you; I will give you as a covenant for the people, a light for the nations,” (Isaiah 42:6, ESV)
The Real Light
“a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel.”” (Luke 2:32, ESV)
“By its light will the nations walk, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it,” (Revelation 21:24, ESV)
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7, ESV)
The Refracted Light
“For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” (2 Corinthians 4:6, ESV)
The Reactive Light
“When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him;” (Matthew 2:3, ESV)
