Joining a local church is more than just attending a local church for worship. Membership at Marsh Corner recognizes two things:
Identification – Our members willingly identify themselves with Jesus Christ and can recount their personal experience of receiving Jesus Christ as their Savior. Furthermore, they have demonstrated their personal obedience to Jesus and identified with Jesus’ death and resurrection by publicly being baptized by immersion. This step is the most important step that anyone following Jesus can take because it states to the world that you belong.
Commitment – After that identification, we encourage people to commit to us and our local fellowship. We believe that God has called us as His church to accomplish a task. To make sure that you understand fully what we are asking, we have developed a new members orientation course called the Connections Class that spells out our church’s strategy, structure, beliefs, and view of salvation in Christ.
The next Connection Class is upcoming, so listen for those announcements.
"For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another."
